He noted that though the sadden demise of Jake is worrying – he hope that it will build ‘collapsed’ bridges in the party to form a united front ahead of the 2016 polls.

“A gregarious and fun-loving man, with an exceptional sense of humour, I will miss him immensely. I am confident all true devotees of the NPP and well-meaning Ghanaians will miss him too,” Akufo-Addo who served as a minister with Jake under the Kufuor administration said in a tribute.

The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has dared the government to arrest its flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo over allegations he caused a judgment debt in the sale of the controversial drill ship.

The Judgment Debt Commission in its report indicted Nana Addo for his role in the matter.
